Sora to Umi
Sora to Umi was established in Chiba Prefecture in 1995 by the social welfare corporation Jizokai. It is a welfare service office that supports the needs and activities of people with disabilities.
Beginning with artistic works using washi, Japanese paper, the company now creates a variety of products by more than 80 people with disabilities.
Beginning with exercises at 9:00 a.m., they work in three studios, a gallery, and a restaurant on a variety of production activities, including washi paper making, woodworking, dyeing/weaving/embroidery, ceramics, painting, and cooking.
Sora to Umi strives for sustainable circulation by collecting and using as much donated, discarded, and local resources as possible
