ひと針ひと針、誰かのために、縫われた衣装。
ひと踏みひと踏み、誰かのために、縫われたステッチ。
それをほどく作業ほど重圧を感じる工程はなかった。
手作りには手作りでお返ししたい。
また誰かの元に渡り、身につけてほしい。
そんな想いを胸に、機織り機に向かう日々。
時を経た時代の味わい、魅力的な装飾や刺繍の技術に
現代の生地やリボンが馴染まない事を理解し、工夫し、ミャオ族のお母さんが縫ったようなステッチをほどこした。

1984年埼玉生まれ、高校、専門学生時代に衣服を学ぶ
2005年ドレスメーキングとテーラリングの正式なトレーニングを修了
2007年COMME des GARÇONS入社
trict COMME des GARÇONSで3年間、さらにJUNYA WATANABEで3年間パターンメイキングを担当
2014年Sacaiに移りパターンメーキング担当
実用的なコンセプトとハイファッションの要素を組み合わせたSacai独自のハイブリッドな手法を学んだ。
2018年フリーランスに転身
複数のウィメンズ、メンズウェアブランドと仕事をするうちに、自分の名「Emori」でコレクションを立ち上げることに至る。

Designer Yukari Emori
Born in 1984 in Saitama, Japan, studied clothing during high school and vocational school.
Completed formal training in dressmaking and tailoring in 2005.
Joined COMME des GARÇONS in 2007.
Worked at COMME des GARÇONS for 3 years and at JUNYA WATANABE for 3 years as a pattern maker.
Moved to Sacai in 2014 to take charge of pattern making
Learned Sacai’s unique hybrid method of combining practical concepts with elements of high fashion.
Became freelance in 2018.
Worked with several womenswear and menswear brands before launching my own collection under my name, Emori.
